Wadada Unveils HEART Agenda After Meeting Tinubu

On Thursday, Senator Ahmed Wadada, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Nasarawa State in the 2027 elections, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. Following this meeting, he outlined his five-point development agenda, known as HEART, which stands for Human Capital Development, Energy and Mineral Resources, Agriculture and the Green Economy, Rural and Urban Development, and Trade, Investment, and Security.

Wadada noted significant improvements in Nigeria's macroeconomic indicators since May 2023, including foreign reserves and the stability of the naira. He acknowledged the outgoing administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule for enhancing Nasarawa's economic potential and pledged to continue this progress.

Wadada emphasized the importance of energy and mineral resources for the state's development, citing Nasarawa's lithium processing plants. He also referenced the historical significance of the Keffi Emirate, which once extended to the Presidential Villa.
