Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Urges Kogi Residents to Revalidate Voter Cards

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central, has called on residents of Kogi State to revalidate their voter cards in light of the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) announcement of a nationwide voter revalidation exercise. In her Easter message released on Sunday, Akpoti-Uduaghan highlighted the significance of this exercise as a civic duty and a powerful tool for shaping the future of the nation.

She strongly encouraged eligible voters to participate en masse, whether through online platforms or physical centers, to ensure their voices are heard in the electoral process. This call comes amid rising political activity in preparation for future elections.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, alongside the INEC, stressed the importance of unity among citizens, urging them to rise above ethnic and religious divisions. The revalidation exercise aims to sanitize Nigeria's electoral database by removing ineligible voters, including deceased individuals and those with multiple registrations, as part of efforts to strengthen the credibility of the electoral process.
