National Youth Council of Nigeria Presidential Battle Heats Up as Lauya Enters Race

Umar Hardawa Lauya has officially entered the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) presidential race, promising to unite the country's youth and provide opportunities for millions of young Nigerians. The declaration event in Abuja drew representatives from various youth organizations, student unions, creative industry groups, and civil society coalitions.

Lauya highlighted the challenges facing Nigerian youth, including high rates of unemployment and underemployment, and pledged to end factional battles within the NYCN through transparent dialogue and governance reforms. He emphasized his agenda for youth empowerment and collaboration.

Lauya, who previously served as NYCN chairman in Bauchi state, received symbolic endorsements from youth in different states. Supporters chanted his name and slogans like "Empowerment Works Together Build." Lauya's candidacy adds new momentum to the NYCN leadership race, with a focus on addressing the needs of young Nigerians.
