Naval Chief Honors Fallen Heroes with Housing Support

On Tuesday, Vice Admiral Idi Abba, the Chief of Naval Staff, remarked that neither the Nigerian state nor the armed forces can truly compensate for the ultimate sacrifices made by personnel who died defending the nation. This statement was made during the handover of a two-bedroom house to Mr.

Saadatu Aminu, the widow of a fallen naval rate, in Karshi, Abuja. Rear Admiral Raheem Taofeek represented the Director of Veteran Affairs at the Naval Headquarters and underscored the importance of continued public support and prayers for security personnel.

Vice Admiral Abba emphasized that the gesture of providing housing is meant to honor the sacrifices of fallen heroes and to ease the burden on their families. He also noted that the Nigerian Navy remains committed to prioritizing the welfare of its personnel and providing necessary support to address security challenges.

The handover is part of a broader welfare package aimed at supporting families of deceased personnel.
