Nigerian Navy Inaugurates 80 Housing Units in Lagos

On a Saturday, the Nigerian Navy, led by Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Idi Abba, inaugurated an 80 housing unit project in Navy Town Ojo, Lagos, as part of activities to mark the Navy's 70th anniversary. The project includes 48 accommodation blocks for junior rates and 32 family housing units, along with a recreational facility at Dolphin Golf Club.

Vice Admiral Abba stated that the project reflects a renewed focus on personnel welfare and infrastructure, asserting that the Navy will no longer allow viable projects to remain abandoned. He noted that the 48-unit block had been dormant for five years before its completion, describing it as a symbol of the Navy's commitment to recovering abandoned investments.

The Chief of Naval Staff also urged personnel to ensure prudent use of public assets and commended President Bola Tinubu for his support of Navy development and the contractors for their delivery of the project.
