Nigerian Navy Celebrates 70th Anniversary with Orphanage Visit

On the occasion of its 70th anniversary, the Nigerian Navy, represented by Rear Admiral E. Shehu and Commodore O.D.

Ogbologu, conducted a humanitarian visit to the Live Fountain Orphanage. The visit aimed to reaffirm the Navy's commitment to child welfare and support for vulnerable children in society.

During the visit, the Navy provided food items to the orphanage, which is currently facing economic hardships. Ladi Bethi Obieri, the founder of the orphanage, expressed gratitude for the Navy's support, describing the gesture as bold and compassionate.

She noted that the visit brought joy to the children, including an 18-year-old girl who recently scored 274 in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board examination and hopes to study law at the University of Lagos. Commodore Ogbologu assured the orphanage's management of the Navy's continued support and partnership, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community as part of the Navy's humanitarian efforts.
