NBA to Akpabio: Natasha's Senate Return Cannot Be Blocked

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) informs Senate President Godswill Akpabio that the pendency of a suit cannot prevent Senator Natasha of PDP Kogi Central from returning to the Senate after her suspension. The NBA President, Afam Osigwe SAN, stated that Natasha should be allowed to resume her Senate duties as her suspension period has ended, regardless of any pending legal matters.

Natasha was suspended by the Senate for alleged violations, including refusing to vacate her seat. Akpabio had accused her of sexual harassment and stripped her of privileges.

The NBA emphasized that the Senate should act honorably and allow Natasha to represent her constituents until a final decision is made by the court on the suspension issue.
