NCDMB and Tomorrow Africa Empower 200 Youths in Oil Sector

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Tomorrow Africa conducted a capacity-building programme aimed at training 200 youths in the oil and gas sector. The training took place in Abia State from August 25 to September 4, 2026, and in Akwa Ibom State from September 7 to 17, 2026, with 100 participants in each state.

The programme targeted young men and women, including persons with disabilities, to promote inclusion and community development. It aimed to equip participants with practical skills, industry knowledge, and resources to establish sustainable enterprises within the oil and gas sector.

Key stakeholders from government and industry, including Mrs Sarah Adaobi Ugochukwu from the Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce and Engr. Anietie Emah from the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, supported the initiative. The training emphasized practical enterprise skills and mentorship from industry experts, with eligibility for participants set between ages 18 and 35, requiring a minimum educational qualification of SSCE or NECO.
