NCDMB's Ogbe Commits to Workforce Development in Nigeria

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reiterated its commitment to building a competitive workforce in Nigeria's industrial, oil, and gas sectors. This statement was made by the Executive Secretary, Engineer Felix Omatsola Ogbe, during the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of trainees at the Centre for Marine and Offshore Technology Development (CMOTD) of Rivers State University.

Represented by Ilu Ozekhome, Assistant Manager of Property and Investment at NCDMB, Ogbe emphasized the importance of local capacity building and the application of technical skills acquired during the six-month training. He praised the trainees for their practical application of skills learned, such as transformer reconstruction and mobile boarding platform development.

Ogbe encouraged continued learning and responsible application of their skills to contribute to Nigeria's industrial and maritime sectors. Engineer Vitalis Ahiakwo, CEO of CMOTD, described the center as a hub of innovation aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.
