Onyeama Threatens Legal Action Over Disqualification in NCF Board Elections

Engineer Emeka Onyeama, Chairman of the FCT Cricket Association, has threatened legal action against the National Sports Commission (NSC) over his disqualification from the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) board elections. Onyeama alleged electoral malpractice by the NSC, claiming that the disqualification of several candidates, including himself, was unconstitutional and aimed at retaining the current NCF leadership.

The electoral committee chaired by Usman SAN disqualified Onyeama and others for allegedly missing the nomination form deadline, sparking accusations of manipulation to favor the incumbent NCF President, Uyi Akpata. Onyeama's threat of legal action signifies a challenge to the transparency and fairness of the electoral process within the NCF.
