Uyi Akpata Reelected as President of Nigeria Cricket Federation for Second Term

Uyi Akpata has been reelected as the President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) for a second term after an unopposed election at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Akpata received all 47 votes cast, securing his position.

Wale Obalola from Kwara State was also elected unopposed as the Vice President. The newly elected zonal representatives include Chika Okoro, Tayo Atoloye, Usman Ladan, Olufemi John, Oludare Ayimola, and Zainab Ishaku Adamu.

Akpata aims to focus on regional development, elevate the national team's ranking, provide better facilities nationwide, and create career opportunities for players and officials. Chief Emeka Onyeama, a former president, failed in his bid to return to the board.
