Nigerian Correctional Service Denies Neglecting Menstrual Care for Female Inmates

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has refuted claims of neglecting menstrual care for female inmates, stating that they provide sanitary pads and hygiene kits free of charge monthly. The NCoS Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command spokesperson, Adamu Duza, highlighted the false nature of allegations and reiterated the commitment to upholding the dignity and human rights of inmates.

The service collaborates with various organizations, including the Nigerian Medical Association, to promote menstrual hygiene and ensure proper healthcare for female inmates. This response aims to clarify misconceptions and uphold the standards of treatment in correctional facilities.
