OK Movement Challenges NDC Leadership Over Campaign Control

A conflict is emerging within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as the Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement disputes the party leadership's authority to manage campaign structures for the upcoming elections. The disagreement intensified after NDC National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses, rejected a 59-member Presidential Campaign Council announced by the OK Movement.

The OK Movement asserts its independence, demanding that Moses retract his statements and apologize to its National Director-General, Hon. John Ozyl Ughulu. The movement emphasizes its distinct organizational structure and ideology while acknowledging the importance of supporting NDC candidates.

Additionally, Mr. Ceejay Henry Ezebuiro, the NDC House of Representative candidate for Ideato North and South Federal Constituency, has accused South-East zonal leaders of making death threats against him unless he relinquishes his party ticket or pays N150 million. Ezebuiro claims these threats are linked to his victory in the May 28, 2026 National Assembly primary.
