NDDC's Chiedu Ebie Advocates for Partnerships in 2026

Chiedu Ebie, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), emphasized the need for stronger partnerships among the NDDC, state governments, and other stakeholders to accelerate development in the Niger Delta region. He made this appeal during the 2026 Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit held in Port Harcourt, River State.

Ebie stated that the NDDC could not fulfill its mandate without the contributions of these partnerships. He urged stakeholders to collaborate to achieve the desired transformation in the Niger Delta.

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Access Holdings and Coronation Group, highlighted that the Niger Delta had received approximately $160 billion in federal allocations and development funding over the past 27 years, yet poverty and underdevelopment remain prevalent. He stressed the importance of assessing what productive assets had been created with these resources.

The summit aimed to discuss economic and investment opportunities in the Niger Delta.
