Youth Leader Supports Tompolo's Fight Against Oil Theft

Meshach Bebenimibo, the Ijaw youth leader, has called for sustained support for High Chief Govern Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) in their efforts to combat oil theft and economic sabotage in the Niger Delta. In a statement, Bebenimibo cautioned critics to cease their attacks on Chief Matthew Tonlagha and Chief Keston Pondi, who are associated with Tantita's pipeline surveillance contract.

He argued that despite past failures with private individuals managing surveillance contracts, Tantita has made significant strides in reducing oil theft and improving environmental conditions. Bebenimibo emphasized the importance of job creation and youth empowerment through Tantita's initiatives, urging detractors to set aside jealousy and support the firm’s efforts.

He also defended the Presidential Amnesty Program and expressed strong backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027, highlighting ongoing developmental projects in the region.
