NDLEA Busts Billion-Naira Opioids Cartel in Lagos, Arrests Kingpin and Syndicate Members

The NDLEA conducted a successful operation in Lagos, busting a major opioids cartel and apprehending the drug baron Onyekachi Piu Nwanagu and five syndicate members. The operation uncovered a stockpile of illicit drugs worth N6.7 billion, including tramadol pills and codeine syrup.

The agency seized a total of 7,272,000 tramadol pills and 53 million milliliters of codeine syrup. NDLEA Chairman Brig.
