NDLEA Intercepts Illicit Drugs Hidden in Frozen Snails and Bulbs, Makes Arrests and Seizures

The NDLEA intercepted illicit drugs concealed in frozen snails and electrical bulbs at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. Two suspects were arrested, including Olawal Oyebola Hakeemot with tramadol pills hidden in frozen snails.

In another operation, Bello Buba was caught with tramadol pills concealed in a spare tire in Yola. Additionally, a significant amount of cannabis was destroyed in Ekiti State.

The agency also intercepted codeine-based syrup bottles in a joint examination with Indian authorities at the Apapa Port.
