NDLEA Uncovers Fake Medicinal Cannabis in Lagos, Warns of Dangers

The NDLEA uncovered fake medicinal cannabis in Lagos, following the arrest of a 28-year-old drug kingpin, Afeez Salisu. The agency seized 16.4 kilograms of dangerous synthetic strains of cannabis packaged as medicinal cannabis.

The spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, highlighted the risks associated with these products, especially to the youth, emphasizing the high potency and harmful effects of the illicit substances. The NDLEA warned the public about the significant threat these products pose to public health and safety, urging vigilance against deceptive practices in the cannabis market.
