NDPHC Transfers Gbarain Power Plant Rehab to TILT/Schneider

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) officially handed over the rehabilitation project of the Gbarain Power Plant to a joint venture comprising TILT Energy Limited and Schneider Electric. This significant milestone aims to replace the burnt Power Control Module (PCM) and restore the plant's capacity of 225MW.

During the handover ceremony, NDPHC's General Manager of Projects, Engr. Ginsau Idri, noted that the PCM was extensively damaged by a fire in November 2020, which occurred just months before the plant was due to be commissioned.

NDPHC's Executive Director, Engr. Abdullahi Kassim, praised the management of the project led by Engr.

Jennif Adighij, who emphasized the project's priority status for boosting electricity generation. Mr.

Deji Awodeji from TILT Energy Limited assured stakeholders that the rehabilitation would be completed within the next 12 months without compromising quality. The project is expected to strengthen electricity supply in support of the federal government's renewable hope agenda.
