NDPHC Partners with PowerChina to Boost Nigeria's Renewable Energy Projects

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has unveiled plans to deepen collaboration with Chinese state-owned enterprise PowerChina to expand Nigeria's grid capacity and accelerate the deployment of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The partnership, discussed under a government-to-government framework, aims to develop utility-scale renewable energy projects across Nigeria.

NDPHC aims to leverage PowerChina's expertise in the entire solar photovoltaic value chain, including manufacturing solar components. PowerChina expressed interest in collaborating further to develop renewable energy projects in Nigeria and advocated for stronger regulatory oversight to combat substandard solar equipment influx in the country.
