NDPHC Restores Geregu 450MW Plant, Plans to Boost Nigeria's Power Capacity

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has restored the Geregu 450MW power plant after completing scheduled maintenance, enhancing its operational reliability and efficiency. NDPHC has also recovered six dormant gas turbines across its fleet, adding a cumulative 875MW to the national grid.

The company plans to restore more power plants, including the Gbarain NIPP plant in Bayelsa State. These efforts aim to improve power generation capacity in Nigeria, especially in the Niger Delta region, despite sector-wide challenges.
