NDPHC Expands Electricity Supply Initiative for Businesses
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) is advancing its Eligible Customer Programme to connect more businesses and industries to reliable electricity through dedicated supply arrangements. Engr. Jennifer Adighije, NDPHC's managing director/chief executive officer, announced this initiative during the company's Customer Service Week in Abuja.
She expressed gratitude to existing customers and encouraged more businesses to participate, highlighting the program's potential to support growth through reliable power. NDPHC operates a generation portfolio of 10 power plants with an installed capacity of approximately 4,000MW, which is crucial for meeting the electricity needs of large consumers.
The initiative aligns with the federal government's goal to enhance power delivery, particularly in the Lagos business corridor. NDPHC has also been working on optimizing its generation assets, including the recent restoration of the 450MW Alaoji Open Cycle Power Plant in Abia State, which had been inactive since 2023 due to disputes.
