Ndume Urges New Defence Chief to Demand Better Pay for Nigerian Soldiers

Former Senator Ndume advised the new Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen.

Olufemi Oluyede, to push for improved remuneration for Nigerian military personnel to enhance motivation and morale in combating security threats. The call was made during the decoration ceremony of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other newly appointed military chiefs in Abuja.

Ndume emphasized the need for the government to prioritize military budget allocation for better pay and welfare of soldiers compared to neighboring West African countries.
