NELFUND Introduces Per-Session Upkeep Payment for Timely, Transparent Student Support

NELFUND has introduced a new per-session upkeep payment system to provide timely and transparent financial support to students. The Director of Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, explained that this change aims to reduce administrative errors and prevent duplicate payments within an academic session.

The new policy aligns upkeep payments with the academic calendar of tertiary institutions, ensuring that students receive the allowance they need on time. This approach allows students to focus on their studies without unnecessary financial stress.

The system also minimizes the risk of duplicate disbursements and enhances administrative efficiency. NELFUND's digital portal will automatically reflect the upkeep loan collected by students within a given session, strengthening accountability.
