Aisha Yesufu Criticizes Nepotism After Frank Mba's Retirement

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, expressed her sadness regarding the retirement of Deputy Inspector General of Police Frank Mba from the Nigeria Police Force. This retirement is part of a broader leadership change following the departure of former Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Yesufu reacted to the news by highlighting her concerns about nepotism and tribalism among top government officials, which she believes are detrimental to the police force and the nation. She stated that the police force is in desperate need of an overhaul to effectively combat terrorism.

Yesufu emphasized that when the security architecture is compromised by nepotism and tribalism, it allows terrorists to gain the upper hand, making a strong case for merit-based leadership within the police.
