New Partnership to Enhance Nigeria's Capital Market Integrity

The American Institute of CPAs and the Nigerian Capital Market Institute have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing integrity in Nigeria's capital market. This partnership will provide access to a premier certification program in internal control and enterprise risk management, driven by the educational arm of the Nigerian Securities Exchange Commission.

The initiative is designed to equip financial professionals with the necessary tools to navigate the increasingly complex risk landscape and integrate risk management into corporate strategy, thereby improving performance in Nigeria's capital market. Mr.

Tund Kamali, Managing Director of the Nigerian Capital Market Institute, emphasized the importance of this initiative in equipping market participants to handle complex risks. Ijeoma Anadozi, Director of the Nigeria Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, noted that this collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening corporate governance and risk management across the country.

The partnership is expected to reduce instances of fraud and mismanagement, enhancing financial reporting accuracy and fostering greater investor confidence.
