ACFE Partners with Stakeholders to Combat Fraud in Nigeria

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and various stakeholders in Nigeria have united to address the growing threat of fraud, as highlighted during the 9th national conference held recently. Dr.

Piu Edobor, the fifth president of the ACF South West Nigeria Chapter, reiterated the commitment to confront fraud through partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including banks and anti-graft agencies. The conference, themed "Technology vs Trust: Strengthening Digital Governance and Fraud Resolution," brought together experts from various fields, including regulation, investigation, and compliance.

The focus was on developing effective frameworks for fraud recovery and enhancing trust in Nigeria's financial system. Sheri Adegbenro, the conference chairman, emphasized the need for collaboration and innovation to tackle the evolving complexities of fraud.

Dr. Lydia Halimat Ajayi, the immediate past president, expressed gratitude for the support received during her tenure and endorsed Dr.

Edobor's leadership.
