New Zealand Launches Student and Trainee Work Visa Benefits

New Zealand has introduced its Student and Trainee Work Visa, which provides various benefits for foreign nationals seeking to gain practical experience or complete professional training in the country. The visa accommodates different training backgrounds, with the duration of stay varying according to the applicant's program.

Dental trainees and students completing practical training can stay for up to six months, while religious trainees can initially stay for six months and may apply for extensions, allowing a maximum stay of four years. Apprentice jockeys have the longest permitted stay of up to four years from the outset.

Applicants must complete practical work experience related to their study or training, and they need to demonstrate sufficient financial support or acceptable sponsorship. All general visa conditions must be met for approval.
