Yetunde Olopade Nominated for Newstap/SWAN 5-Star Award

Yetunde Olopade, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nilayo Sport Management Limited, has described her nomination for the Newstap/SWAN 5-Star Award as a rare privilege. She highlighted her managerial prowess in organizing sports events, particularly the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, which has gained global recognition.

Olopade expressed gratitude for the nomination, emphasizing her commitment to enhancing sports in Nigeria. She is the first woman to be nominated for this prestigious award, which is in its second edition.

The award aims to honor individuals and organizations that dedicate resources to create value in the sports industry for the benefit of stakeholders and the youth of the country. The nomination letter was presented by Georg Aluo, CEO of Newstap, to a local organizing committee led by Adekunle Salami.

Other nominees include Duoye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, and Comrade Phillip Shaibu, Director General of the National Institute for Sports. The award ceremony is scheduled for March 6th at Eko Club, Lagos.
