NFF Sets Camping Dates for Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has outlined plans to resume camping activities for the U-20 Flying Eagles and U-17 Golden Eaglets. The U-20 team is scheduled to open its camp in July, while the U-17 team is expected to begin preparations in September.

This staggered schedule aims to provide adequate preparation time for both teams ahead of their respective competitions. The current status of the head coach position for the U-20 team remains vacant, with applications submitted to the federation earlier in the week, and an official announcement regarding the appointment is anticipated following ratification by the NFF executive board.

The U-20 team is preparing for the West African Football Union (WAFU B) U-20 Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, with the next tournament scheduled for 2025. Additionally, the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted in Morocco from April 25 to May 15, 2026, serving as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
