NFF and Eagles Players Support Chukwueze at Mother's Burial

Samuel Chukwueze, a forward for Fulham on loan from AC Milan, laid his mother, Serah Chinyere Chukwueze, to rest in Umuahia, Abia State. She passed away on January 29 after a brief illness.

The burial ceremony was attended by Nigeria Football Federation President Ibrahim Gusau and fellow Super Eagles players, including Chidozi Awaziem and Kelechi Iheanacho, who gathered to support Chukwueze during this difficult time. Due to his football commitments, Chukwueze was unable to return to Nigeria immediately for the burial rites, which required extensive planning.

The 27-year-old plans to hold a more significant send-off after the football season concludes. Currently, Chukwueze has registered three goals and four assists in 23 Premier League appearances.

He expressed a desire to remain at Fulham, but the club has decided against a permanent deal, leaving his future uncertain as AC Milan navigates a transitional period ahead of the summer transfer window.
