NFVCB Commends Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham for Box Office Success in Nigerian Cinema

The National Film and Video Censor Board (NFVCB) has lauded Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham for their remarkable achievements in the Nigerian film industry. Akindele's recent film reportedly grossed N2.4 billion at the Nigerian box office, showcasing her commercial success and influence.

NFVCB plans to honor Akindele with the Box Office Queen Award for the years 2023-2025. Toyin Abraham's directorial debut film, "Oversabi Aunti," earned N1 billion in cinemas, positioning it among the top-grossing Nollywood films.

NFVCB commended Abraham for her outstanding box office performance, highlighting her versatility and creative influence in reshaping storytelling in contemporary Nollywood.
