NGX Group Appoints Substantive Company Secretary
Nigerian Exchange Group Plc has filed a corporate action notice confirming the appointment of Mr. Izuchukwu Akpa as its substantive Company Secretary, effective 29 April 2026. The filing discloses that the Board approved the appointment at its meeting held on the same date.
Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGXGROUP) notified Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public on 4 May 2026 that its Board, at a meeting held on 29 April 2026, approved the appointment of Mr. Izuchukwu Akpa as Company Secretary, with effect from 29 April 2026.
Mr. Akpa had previously served in an acting capacity since February 2024, following the departure of the former Company Secretary. The confirmation therefore formalises a role he has held on an interim basis for over two years.
By profession, Mr. Akpa is a lawyer with more than eight years of experience covering Company Secretariat, Corporate Governance, Corporate Law, Compliance, and General Legal Practice. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nigeria (UNN) and holds memberships in the Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators, and the Compliance Institute of Nigeria.
