NGX Group and Women Affairs Ministry Boost Women's Inclusion

The NGX Group has partnered with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to promote women's inclusion in Nigeria's capital markets. This collaboration was highlighted during a strategic visit by the Minister, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, culminating in a ceremony marked by the closing gong signal.

The Chairman of NGX Group, Umaru Kwairanga, praised the Minister's leadership in advancing women's economic empowerment and emphasized the importance of women's participation in the economy. Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, noted that the current participation levels of women do not reflect their potential and called for greater engagement.

The partnership aims to address the underrepresentation of women in formal finance and to unlock opportunities for women-led enterprises, contributing to Nigeria's economic growth and the goal of achieving a trillion-dollar economy.
