Niger Delta Youth Leaders Demand Support for Tantita

The Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Forum (NDENLF), chaired by Jonathan Lokpobiri, urged the Nigerian government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to provide necessary support to Tantita Security Services. This call was made during the NDENLF summit held on Friday in Port Harcourt, where the forum submitted a resolution highlighting the need for serious action to address the challenges faced by the Niger Delta region.

The forum noted that despite the region's significant contributions to the Nigerian economy, it suffers from environmental degradation, neglect, and poverty. They emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration among stakeholders to empower local youth and ensure sustainable development within the oil and gas industry.

Eniwak Orogun, the NDENLF secretary, remarked on the infrastructural deficits and the need for strategic investments. The summit gathered around 2,000 youths, who expressed satisfaction with the security services provided by Tantita, which has been successful in mitigating dissent and ensuring safety in oil and gas operations.
