Niger Governor Dissolves State Basic Education Board Amidst Reform Efforts

Governor Moham Umaru Bago of Niger State has ordered the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) as announced by the State Government Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Usman. This decision is part of the ongoing efforts to revamp and enhance the efficiency and accountability in the education sector.

The Governor has directed the dissolved board members, including the Secretary, to hand over all official documents and assets to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. The move comes amidst internal wrangling and allegations of financial irregularities within the board.
