Niger State Partners Ministry to Elevate Bida Bariki Festival for Global Recognition

The Niger State government has proposed a new partnership with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Tourism to upgrade the historic Bida Bariki Festival, a traditional Nupe cultural celebration. The festival features horse rides, acrobatic performances, traditional music and dance, showcasing local crafts.

The collaboration seeks to modernize the event, boost the local economy, create jobs, and attract tourism. Hon.

Saidu Musa Abdullahi and Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa highlighted the importance of showcasing Nupe culture globally.

The Ministry is focusing on attracting investments and promoting Nigeria's cultural tourism, with recent projects in Dubai. Several key states have already signed MoUs to enhance Nigeria's cultural heritage and tourism potential.
