Niger Tornadoes Threaten NPFL Withdrawal Over Stadium Dispute

Niger Tornadoes, a football club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), are facing the possibility of withdrawal from the league after the NPFL deemed their home ground, Bako Kantagora Stadium in Minna, unfit to host matches. The club's chairman expressed strong displeasure at the decision, labeling it as politically motivated and unfair.

The NPFL cited the stadium's failure to meet the required technical infrastructure standards as the reason for the ruling. Niger Tornadoes have been instructed to relocate their home fixtures to alternative grounds like the main bowl in Ilorin or the Jo Zaria Road Stadium in Nasarawa.

Failure to comply within the given timeframe may result in the club being banned from hosting matches. The club is expected to play its future home games at the newly renovated Lafia City Stadium in Nasarawa until the Kantagora facility meets the NPFL requirements.
