Tornadoes Threaten NPFL Exit Over Stadium Ban Controversy

The Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Tornadoes, is at risk of being forced out of the league due to a ban on using the Bako Kantagora Stadium in Minna. The ban, declared by the league's chief operating officer, Davidson Owumi, cited the stadium's inadequacy for new broadcast requirements.

Tornadoes have been directed to relocate their home matches to alternative venues like the Rashe Yekini Main Bowl in Ilorin and the Lafia City Stadium in Nasarawa. The club's relocation has caused uproar, with accusations of political motives and unfair treatment by the Niger State Sports Commission Chairman, Danjuma Masu.

Tornadoes are facing the possibility of withdrawal from the NPFL if the stadium ban is not lifted promptly.
