Tinubu-Trump Meeting Possible, Says Nigeria's US Ambassador

Akande expressed confidence that the meeting could occur during Tinubu's presidential tenure, which would further consolidate the strategic partnership between Nigeria and the United States. He noted the significant impact of a three-year absence of a substantive ambassador in Washington, which weakened bilateral engagement and disrupted the Nigerian mission's operations.

Akande also addressed concerns regarding US immigration policies affecting Nigerians, warning that visa restrictions have become a major issue.
