Tinubu Celebrates Nigeria's Progress at London Reception

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated that Nigeria has successfully navigated out of a challenging economic phase during a reception at the Tate Modern in London, part of his state visit to celebrate Nigerian contributions to global development. He praised the creativity of Nigerians, noting their ability to reinterpret history and culture, which continues to shape modern identity.

The event highlighted the theme of an art exhibition titled "Nigeria's Modern," showcasing the revolutionary stories of Nigerian artists from the mid-20th century. Tinubu assured attendees that Nigeria is moving past its difficult economic phase and urged confidence in the nation's capacity for success both at home and abroad.

UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, who hosted the reception, emphasized the strength of Nigeria-UK trade relations, which amount to $8.1 billion annually, and acknowledged the significant contributions of half a million Nigerians to British society. The event was attended by various Nigerian officials, including state governors and ministers.
