Nigeria and Egypt to Discover Opponents for 2026 ITTF World Table Tennis Championship in London

Nigeria and Egypt are set to learn their opponents for the 2026 ITTF World Table Tennis Championship in London during the official draw ceremony at the Shard, London's tallest building. The tournament, scheduled from April 28 to May 10, will see 64 men's and 64 women's teams competing, including 12 African men's teams and 11 African women's teams.

Nigeria secured their place in the championship after a strong performance in the 2025 ITTF Africa Championship, alongside Tunisia and Egypt. The tournament coincides with the centenary anniversary of the International Table Tennis Federation, with a total of 52 teams per gender qualifying through their continental championships.

The competition will feature three stages, including group matches and knockout rounds, showcasing the world's top table tennis talent.
