NICO Chief: Nigeria Not Technologically Ready for Real-Time Election Results, Emphasizes Cultural Identity Importance

Abiodun Ajiboy, the Chief Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), highlighted Nigeria's technological inadequacy for real-time election results in an interview. He cited infrastructure deficiencies as a barrier to implementing electronic voting, expressing concerns over the vulnerability of the electoral process to cyber attacks.

Ajiboy stressed the significance of cultural identity, stating that without it, a nation lacks a future. He outlined NICO's programs aimed at promoting cultural awareness through public lectures and courses.

Additionally, Ajiboy mentioned the Federal Government's plan to merge duplicate agencies for efficiency. He also referenced discussions with political figures like Bola Tinubu to enhance national development efforts.
