Nigeria Commits to Agrifood Transformation Through South-South Cooperation

Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, reiterated Nigeria's dedication to South-South cooperation for agrifood transformation at the World Food Forum in Rome. The focus is on sharing knowledge, expertise, and resources among developing nations to promote sustainable development.

Kyari highlighted Nigeria's partnerships with FAO, China, and Brazil under the SSTC framework, leading to tangible results like technology transfer, farmer training, and aquaculture development. FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu commended Nigeria's efforts and emphasized the importance of building inclusive and sustainable agrifood systems through international cooperation.
