Buba Galadima Warns of Civil War Risk if Notorious Judge Heads INEC

Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has cautioned that Nigeria risks civil unrest if a retired Court of Appeal judge with a notorious reputation is appointed as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Galadima raised concerns during an interview on Arise Television, highlighting rumors of the government's alleged plan to nominate the judge.

He criticized the government for potentially compromising the electoral system's credibility, accusing them of favoring the ruling party, APC. Galadima warned that such actions could lead to civil war if the appointment is made, emphasizing the importance of upholding the rule of law in INEC's leadership.
