Nigeria and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Housing Development Cooperation

Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have strengthened their cooperation on housing development during a bilateral meeting in Riyadh. The Nigerian Minister of Housing, Ahm Dangiwa, engaged with his Saudi counterpart, Momrah Maje bin Abdullah Al Hogail, to discuss collaboration opportunities. Dangiwa presented Nigeria's flagship Renew Hope Housing Program, emphasizing its scale, structural delivery, and architectural alignment with private capital.

The meeting highlighted the significance of housing not only as a social good but also as a major economic growth driver and industrial investment opportunity. Dangiwa reiterated the program's aim to deliver homes at scale across income segments through clear policies and a robust public-private partnership framework. Saudi Arabia expressed interest in participating in Nigeria's housing sector, particularly in building material manufacturing.

Saudi Arabia acknowledged Nigeria's housing demand and ongoing reforms to attract private investments. The Saudi Minister welcomed Nigeria's reform-oriented housing agenda and expressed openness to enhancing institutional cooperation. Both parties recognized the potential for synergy in large-scale housing delivery, construction technology, and local manufacturing.
