Nigeria's Ambassador Ikpeazu Advocates for Trade Ties with Spain

Okezie Ikpeazu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, has urged for the revitalization of existing bilateral agreements, including the Bilateral Air Service Agreement, to strengthen economic cooperation and people-to-people relations between Nigeria and Spain. This call was made following his presentation of Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

The event marked the beginning of Ikpeazu’s diplomatic mission in Spain. He conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu to the Spanish monarch and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and tourism.

Ikpeazu stressed the need for improved air connectivity to boost economic partnerships and tourism. He also advocated for a more robust partnership involving public institutions, the private sector, and civil society.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received and pledged to advance Nigeria’s interests while fostering cooperation between the two nations.
