Nigeria to Deploy 25 Ambassadors After Host Approval

The Nigerian government is set to deploy 25 ambassadors after receiving the necessary approvals from host countries. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, disclosed that significant progress has been made in the accreditation process required for the ambassadors to be sent abroad.

The induction program for these ambassadors is planned to take place from the 27th to the 29th of the month. Ebienfa explained that the agreements with the host countries represent formal consent for Nigeria to conduct due diligence on its nominees.

Once the agreements are granted, the Ministry will proceed with the induction of the ambassadors, who will begin their assignments immediately. However, the Ministry has raised concerns about the growing trend of individuals falsely presenting themselves as ambassadors, which poses a serious threat to Nigeria's diplomatic integrity.

The Ministry has warned the public against such fraudulent activities.
