Nigeria Clears 25 Ambassador-Designates for Deployment

The Federal Government of Nigeria disclosed that 25 ambassador-designates have received agreements from host countries, marking significant progress in the accreditation process necessary for their deployment to foreign missions. Kimiebi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made this announcement in Abuja, stating that the deployment will begin immediately following the induction program scheduled from the 27th to the 29th of the month.

The Ministry confirmed that there are 65 ambassadorial appointments made by President Bola Tinubu, with the process of inducting ambassadors subject to the receipt of agreements from host countries. Ebienfa also addressed concerns regarding unauthorized individuals and groups misusing diplomatic titles, warning that such actions could lead to prosecution.

The Ministry remains committed to protecting the integrity of Nigeria's diplomatic services and will not tolerate any form of misrepresentation that could bring disrepute to the nation.
