Nigeria to Invest $220m in Job Creation for Youth, Launches Jubilee Fellows Programme 2.0

The Nigerian government, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, has committed to investing $220 million in job creation for young Nigerians through the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme 2.0. The initiative, launched in collaboration with the European Union and UNDP, seeks to provide high-potential graduates with real-world work experience, training, and mentorship.

The goal is to leverage the nation's demographic strength by empowering the youth to contribute to the economy. President Bola Tinubu's administration is determined to deepen ownership and embed the program in the government's national plan and budget framework.

The immediate target is to raise $220 million to secure the program's future.
